Johanne Peyre is President of the Polynesian Competition Authority. She also sits on the board of the
Competition authority of New-Caledonia as a non-permanent member. Recognized as one of the 40
most influential women in competition law in Europe, the Americas and Africa, and cited as an
influential lawyer by several trade publications, she has been relentless in her commitment to
ensuring innovative change in antitrust compliance management. As a leading inhouse lawyer and
manager, Johanne has spoken at numerous conferences and authored publications in the area of
competition risk and compliance (BIICL, OECD, GCR, ABA, etc.).
She is a graduate of the University of
Montpellier Law School and King's College London. Her extensive experience includes both law firm
and corporate experience (she headed the global competition practice for GSK Healthcare, Pearson,
and Michelin). Johanne also sits on the board of W@CompetitionFR and is dedicated to improving
diversity in the legal sphere by strong involvement in various mentoring initiatives (National Federation
of the Blind; Saks Institute for Mental Health Law, Policy and Ethics of USC Gould School of Law).
